POSITION SUMMARY:
Approach Consulting is seeking highly driven, emotionally intelligent, effective, innovative, creative and experienced Healthcare ERP Consultants. The ideal candidates would be adaptable, problem-solving and digital forward, and possess excellent organization, communication, business process and analytical skills, with ability to influence others, garner support and broad consensus. Additionally, the candidates would be able to demonstrate a successful track record of ERP selections and/or applicable consulting engagements as a lead consultant.
The professional profile of our consulting practice includes multi-month, large-scale ERP evaluation & selection, business transformation, organizational change management, and multi-year acquisition/merger/consolidation and/or divestiture projects.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Healthcare ERP Consultant is responsible for developing effective and enduring relationships and ensuring successful ERP software and implementation partner selection consultingengagements. This can include developing Business Technology / ERP Strategies, developing client business cases, leading business process requirements analysis, preparing requests for information/proposal, leading clients to evaluate and select software and implementation vendors, and facilitating contract negotiation/execution.
Additional responsibilities may involve providingimplementation-stage services. These include leading change management workshops/deliverables, business processimprovement analysis, implementation monitoring/validation and/or benefits realization analysis.
Qualified candidates will have prior knowledge of or experience with market-leading healthcare ERP software, healthcare technology implementation, healthcare provider operations, technology strategy, and project/program/portfolio management.
POSITION DETAILS:
• Effectively lead the day-to-day activities of ERP evaluation/selection projects for clients, ensuring exceptional performance
• Analyze business process requirements, translate context/sentiment
• Develop and document all aspects of engagements including strategy, business case, business process requirements, and write comprehensive requests for proposal
• Leverage independent and objective scoring models
• Determine client needs by supplementing traditional assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches
• Manage the evaluation and selection of ERP software and implementation partners
• Lead client organizational change and business process improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, vendors, and vendor clients
• Maintain currency with Healthcare ERP software vendor product roadmaps, and evolution of implementation methodologies
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
• At least 8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience (prior big 4 consulting experience is strongly preferred)
• At least 3 years of experience with ERP evaluation and selection of ERP software applications and System Integrator (SI) partners; ideally including healthcare ERP solutions such as Infor, Oracle and Workday
• RFI / RFP development and execution
• Business / functional requirements gathering for software solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Business process improvement skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects while being part of a consulting and client team
• Proven success and willingness to travel to clients domestically (up to 80%)
• Proven success as a self-starter, operating remotely and/or on-site with clients/vendors
• Strong team player with ability to collaborate with all levels of organizations
• Possess a drive towards forward progress and delivering results while taking responsibility
• Proactively and transparently communicate challenges and successes to the team leadership
• Exhibit high level of attention to detail
• Flexibility and willingness to help in other areas as priorities shift
• Ability to effectively operate with minimal supervision, but knowing how to keep leadership in the loop
• Self-motivated with a desire to motivate others
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
• Previous healthcare provider/hospital operations experience
• Technology / ERP Strategy Development
• Business Case Development
• Technology merger and acquisition integration, divestiture and carve-out
• Understanding of capital and operational project structures
• Bachelor’s degree (business, finance or a technology-related area); MBA/MIS a plus
